Zoe Armstrong from New Zealand first started creating special effects as a hobby she indulged in her spare time. Now the Theatre student is so good at her craft, you can't tell her creations from the real thing.

She said: 

"I was always fascinated by gore and how they did zombies, wounds and fight scene make-up in movies, and I often spent my days during art classes using newspaper and old paint to make myself have a zombie hand."

Her theatre tech lecturer was instrumental in helping Zoe take her passion further by buying her her first special effects make-up kit.

She says she learns by watching YouTube plenty videos of professional artists, now she is so good she can create a gunshot wound in under dive minutes.

Another explosion Rocks Brussels Metro Station, 10 People Confirmed Dead

Another explosion has occurred at the Maalbeek metro station in Brussels,near the European Union headquarters. This comes after two explosions rocked the Zaventem airport in Brussels this morning. Meanwhile 10 people have been confirmed dead in the explosions while 30 people were injured. Belgium government have raised their terror alert to the highest.

Explosions Hit Brussels Airport And One Allegedly killed

Explosions tore through the departure hall of Brussels airport on Tuesday morning killing one person and injuring several others, the Belgian news agency Belga said.

The agency said shots were fired and there were shouts in Arabic shortly before the explosions.

The blasts occurred four days after the arrest in Brussels of a suspected participant in November militant attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Belgian police had been on alert for any reprisal action.

Social media showed pictures of smoke rising from the departure hall where windows had been shattered by the blasts. Passengers were seen running away down a slipway.

Sky News television's Alex Rossi, at the scene, said he heard two "very, very loud explosions".

"I could feel the building move. There was also dust and smoke as well... I went towards where the explosion came from and there were people coming out looking very dazed and shocked."

"The thinking here is that it is some kind of terrorist attack - that hasn't been verified by any of the authorities here at the airport."

Video showed devastation inside the departure hall with items scattered across the floor.

Belgian media said rail traffic to the airport was suspended.

Brussels airport said it had canceled all flights and the complex had been evacuated.

Salah Abdeslam, the prime surviving suspect for November's Paris attacks on a stadium, cafes and a concert hall, was captured by Belgian police after a shootout on Friday.

Belgium's Interior Minister, Jan Jambon, said on Monday the country was on high alert for a possible revenge attack following the capture of 26-year-old Abdeslam.

"We know that stopping one cell can ... push others into action. We are aware of it in this case," he told public radio.

French investigator Francois Molins told a news conference in Paris on Saturday that Abdeslam, a French citizen born and raised in Brussels, admitted to investigators he had wanted to blow himself up along with others at the Stade de France on the night of the attack claimed by Islamic State; but he later backed out.

U.S Presidential candidates Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton and Ted Cruz blasted each other on Monday night during an exclusive on-air interview with CNN. Although the trio weren't sat face to face, they still had a go at each other while interviewed by CNN's Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer at the Aipac stage.

Hilary Clinton, launched her most direct attack yet on Donald Trump, accusing him of “bigotry and bluster and bullying” and inciting violence at all his campaign rallies.

While Texas senator Ted Cruz said even though he understands Trump's widespread support, his campaign is based on lies and he together with Clinton have traded influence in Washington.

While Trump offered a more subtle attack on rival Hilary Clinton saying she 'lacked stamina' to become president of America. Trump said, “I think she doesn’t have the stamina. You watch her life. You watch how she’ll go away three or four days; she’ll come back. Look, we’ve got to beat China in trade. We’ve got to beat Isis. We’ve got so many problems in this country; I say she does not have the stamina to be a good president ... doesn’t have the energy, she doesn’t have it. Doesn’t have the strength to be president, in my opinion.”

Republican candidate Ted Cruz said, “The lie behind Donald’s campaign is that he will stand up to Washington. He is the system. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are flip sides of the same coin. Donald Trump has made billions buying influence in Washington. Hillary Clinton has made millions selling influence in Washington.” Cruz predicted that he would beat Trump in a head-to-head battle if the Republican convention were to be contested.

Clinton, said “I think it’s important to listen to what he says,” she said. “You have to take him at his word so to speak. He has been engaging in bigotry and bluster and bullying. “And I think when it comes to understanding what he would do as president there are serious questions that have been raised in this campaign. Should he be the nominee we’ll have to address them.”

Asked if she believes Trump really is a bully, Clinton replied: “Well, I think his behaviour certainly qualifies for that. I think his incitement of violence, his constant urging on of his supporters in large numbers to go after protesters, his saying I want to punch people in the face and telling somebody who did punch somebody I will pay your legal bills, i think that raises very serious questions.”

She recounted some of Trumps' comments from the past few months, ranging from “calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals, saying John McCain was not a war hero, being reluctant to denounce the Ku Klux Klan and David Duke. And the list goes on.”

USA Nominates First Female Combatant Commander

US Defence Secretary Ash Carter has nominated the first female in US military history to lead a combatant command, BBC reports.

General Lori Robinson has been nominated to lead the US Northern Command, Mr Carter announced on Friday. The position is one of the most

senior in the US military and must be confirmed by the Senate.

She is currently commander for the Pacific Air Forces and enrolled in the Air Force in 1982. "General Robinson, it just so happens, would also be the first ever female combatant commander," Mr Carter said at an event in Washington hosted by Politico.

Actor Charlie Weber is reportedly divorcing his wife of less than a year.

The How to Get Away with Murder star, 37, is fiercely private about his home life, but TMZ reports that the star has filed for divorce from his wife, Giselle, citing irreconcilable differences.

South African Woman Found Guilty Of Abducting Daughter She Raised For 17 years

A South African woman has been found guilty of kidnapping a newborn baby, raising her for 17 years until her real identity emerged through a remarkable twist of fate last year.

Zephany Nurse was abducted from a hospital in Cape Town in 1997, three days after her birth. Her parents, Morné and Celeste Nurse, never gave up hope of seeing their first-born again and celebrated her birthdays without her.

For those years, Zephany grew up just a couple of miles away with a different name and a different family, never suspecting she was not their real daughter. But in January 2015, her biological sister, Cassidy Nurse, began at the same school. Soon fellow pupils noticed a startling resemblance between them.

Morné Nurse then saw Cassidy and Zephany eating burgers together in McDonald’s, and, struck by the physical similarities, contacted the police. DNA tests confirmed that she was the Nurses’ long-lost daughter and Zephany was placed in the care of social services, while the woman was arrested.

The 50-year-old cannot be named in order to protect the new identity of Zephany Nurse, who requested protection from international media interest.

Celeste Nurse, 36, wept as she described in court how she woke up in the maternity ward in Groote Schuur hospital to find her baby had vanished from her cot.

Witnesses said they had seen an unknown woman in a nurse’s uniform at the hospital around the time of the kidnap, and one of them picked out the accused at an identity parade.The accused woman also sobbed in court as she told of being barred from seeing the girl after her arrest in February 2015. She said that after a miscarriage in 1996 she paid a woman who promised to find her a child to adopt, and in April 1997 was handed a baby wrapped in a blanket at a train station. She had not told her husband of her miscarriage, so presented the baby to him as their own.

Giving his verdict, Judge John Hlophe described the defendant’s account as a fairytale. “You must have been the person who removed the child from hospital,” he said. “Your story, if anything, is a fairytale and the court rejects it with the contempt it deserves.”

The accused was denied bail and ordered to return to court for sentencing on 30 May. She faces a minimum of five years in jail.

Here comes the super fly! Scientists create insects capable of turning and dodging faster in the air

From their uncanny ability to evade being swatted, you could be forgiven for thinking fruit flies are masters of aerial performance.

New research, however, has revealed the insects have actually evolved wings that are far from the best shape for agility in the air.

Scientists have created fruit flies with a range of wing shapes and found those with the altered wings were much more manoeuvrable than those that occur naturally.

High speed cameras, the researchers were able to track the flies and reconstruct their flights in a computer simulator.

The researchers say the insects with the better agility in the air would be better at out manoeuvring predators like dragonflies.

But they also found the new wings had a draw back – they were much less efficient, causing the flies with them to burn far more energy than those with wing shapes found in the wild.
